Argentina's option route reaches the children of Argentine citizens who were born in Argentina. Grandchildren are expressly excluded from it, alongside spouses and siblings. So an Argentine grandparent does not give you a claim of your own.
It may well give your parent one. If your grandparent was born in Argentina, then your parent is the child of a native Argentine and can most likely exercise the option themselves - no residency, no age limit, and still available even if your grandparent has died. Once your parent is registered as Argentine, you become the child of an Argentine, which is a materially better position than the one you are in today.
The honest caveat is that whether a parent who became Argentine by option can then pass it on to you is itself unsettled. So this is a two-step route with a real question mark on the second step, not a formality.
