This is the distinction the whole route turns on. Argentine nationality reaches a child born abroad only from a parent who was born in Argentina — so where your parent was born matters more than how long they have been Argentine, or how Argentine the family feels.
Born in Argentina → Born abroad, but registered as Argentine through a parent of their own → They were a citizen of another country and became Argentine later → I'm not sure where they were born →
