Argentina — Citizenship by Descent

Likely

You are already an Argentine citizen.

Anyone born on Argentine soil is Argentine from birth, whatever their parents' nationality. There is nothing to apply for. What you need is the proof: an Argentine birth certificate, and then a DNI and a passport.

If you have never held Argentine documents, the next step is an updated copy of your birth certificate from the civil registry of the province where you were born, and then a DNI appointment - at a consulate if you live abroad, or at RENAPER if you are in Argentina.

Tell us which country you live in and whether you have ever held an Argentine document, and we will tell you which of those two applies to you.
