Two facts decide this, and both are quick to establish.
The first is whether your passport lets you enter Argentina as a tourist without applying for a visa in advance. The nomad permit is only open to nationals of countries in that position, and it is a hard gate rather than a preference. If you have travelled to Argentina, or to much of South America, without arranging a visa first, you are almost certainly on the right side of it.
The second is who your work is actually for. The permit covers remote services provided to people or companies based outside Argentina. Work for an Argentine employer or mainly for Argentine clients falls outside it and belongs to a different permit — a better one, as it happens, because it accrues time toward citizenship.
Worth knowing whichever way those fall: the nomad permit is transitory. Up to 180 days, renewable once, and none of that time counts toward the two years of legal residence Argentine citizenship needs. It is a way to try the country, not to start settling in it.
