Retirement in Argentina

Capital on its own does not qualify, because both categories test income received rather than wealth held. Arrange it to pay a documented regular income from abroad and it can support a rentista application.

Rentista needs income from assets such as financial instruments, property or business stakes, received steadily over a period. Pensionado needs an actual pension. Neither has a wealth test.

The income has to reach Argentina through authorised Argentine banks or financial institutions, so structure the arrangement with that in mind and take advice before you set it up.
