You may well have the same easy route, but the version that applies to you is narrower and it is worth checking before you rely on it.
Argentina's simplified residency for nationals of neighbouring countries is broader for people who hold that nationality from birth than for people who acquired it. For naturalised citizens the list of qualifying countries is shorter — Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia — and there is generally an expectation that you have held the nationality for at least five years.
So two facts decide it: which country naturalised you, and when. If it is one of those eight and you were naturalised five or more years ago, you are very likely in, and the route is the good one — residency on nationality, no employer needed, two years and renewable.
If the five years are not yet up, this becomes a waiting question rather than a closed door, and in the meantime the ordinary categories apply: employment with an Argentine employer, investment, or documented income from abroad.
Whichever residency you end up on, citizenship in Argentina comes from two continuous years of legal residence — so the permit is the first step of a fairly short path, not a separate thing.
