Australia — Reacquiring Lost Citizenship
Not eligible
Resumption is not the route here. It is built for people whose citizenship ended automatically or by their own application, not for people whose citizenship was taken from them by a decision of the Minister. A revocation is a deliberate act by the state, and the provisions that let people resume do not reach it.
What is available depends entirely on the ground of revocation and on what was decided at the time, and that is a question for a lawyer with the actual decision record in front of them rather than for a quiz. Revocation decisions usually carry review rights, and those have deadlines that run from the decision — so if the decision is recent, that is the more urgent thing to check.
Returning as a migrant and applying for citizenship by conferral in the ordinary way is sometimes possible, but a revocation sits on your immigration record and affects both visa and character assessments, so it is not a clean restart.
