The Verdict: Unlikely
Revocation is not undone by the recent changes, so any way back starts with immigrating again. First get the revocation decision and read its grounds.
The rule that restores lost citizenship leaves out two things: formal renunciation, and revocation for fraud, false representation or concealment.
Make sure it really was revocation. It is a formal process with a written notice, a chance to respond, and a decision by the Minister or the Federal Court. A refused application or passport, or a certificate cancelled as issued in error, is not revocation. If that is what happened, your position is likely much better: take the citizenship by descent quiz instead.
If it was revocation, immigrating again is possible in principle, but the facts behind it may make you inadmissible, and that is usually the real obstacle. If the misrepresentation was someone else’s, typically a parent’s when you were a child, the case is different and worth having looked at with the decision in hand.
