The Verdict: Not eligible
You cannot get Croatian citizenship back, because a person who renounced it as an adult is barred for good. If you belong to the Croatian people, look at the diaspora residence permit in our Diaspora & Religious Return quiz.
Article 21(2) of the Croatian Citizenship Act says a person who renounced as an adult cannot acquire it again. There is no waiting period and no exception, and the emigrant route in article 11 expressly excludes anyone who renounced.
The bar is personal to you. Your children, parents and siblings are not affected, and if your family left Croatia before 8 October 1991, your children and grandchildren may have their own claim under article 11 through an ancestor other than you.
For yourself, what remains is residence. The diaspora return permit, introduced in March 2025, lets a member of the Croatian people live and work in Croatia without a separate work permit, and leads to permanent residence after three years.
