Working Holiday Visa in Croatia

Schemes that let young Croatians work in Australia, Japan or elsewhere run outbound only. They give those countries' citizens no right to come to Croatia.

The digital nomad permit runs up to 18 months for anyone working remotely for a company not registered in Croatia, on an income test rather than nationality or age. A job offer from a Croatian employer opens the ordinary work permit, covered in our Skilled Migration quiz.

Study at a Croatian university carries its own residence, and article 76 of the Aliens Act then allows up to a year to look for work or start a business.
