Did anyone in your direct line ever hold Czech or Czechoslovak citizenship?
Czechoslovakia existed from 1918 to 1992. A family that left the Czech lands before 1918, or belonged to a Czech community in another state, will not have held its citizenship, and the compatriot route is built for that case. Where citizenship was held, a stronger route applies.
