The Verdict: Not eligible
This route depends on your spouse being a Czech citizen, so it does not apply to you. If your spouse has a Czech or Czechoslovak parent or grandparent, take our Citizenship by Descent quiz with them first.
If your spouse turns out to be Czech, come back here: the spouse of a Czech citizen reaches permanent residence in two years and then has the five-year wait for citizenship waived.
If your spouse is a citizen of another EU or EEA state or Switzerland and lives in Czechia, you can still hold residence as the family member of an EU citizen. If they are a non-EU national with Czech residence, you would apply for family reunification, and permanent residence takes the ordinary five years.
