Had your father given up Egyptian nationality before you were born?
Taking another nationality does not end Egyptian nationality on its own. It ends only if the Interior Ministry gave permission to naturalise abroad and that permission did not allow keeping it. A father who naturalised without asking, or with permission to keep it, was still Egyptian.
