Had your mother given up Egyptian nationality before you were born?
Taking another nationality, including a husband's, does not end Egyptian nationality on its own. It ends only if the Interior Ministry gave permission to naturalise abroad and that permission did not allow keeping it. A mother who naturalised without asking, or with permission to keep it, was still Egyptian.
