Have you been sentenced to six months or more in prison, or are you under an expulsion order or a ban from France?
Article 21-27 of the Civil Code bars naturalisation after any prison sentence of six months or more that was not suspended, whatever the offence, and while an expulsion order or ban is in force. A conviction cleared by rehabilitation does not count.
