French work permits start with an employer, so without a job offer there is nothing to apply for yet. Look for employers who sponsor, and aim for a salary that reaches the talent card or Blue Card thresholds.
France has no points system and no visa to come and look for work, except for recent graduates of French universities.
Larger companies, research bodies and the technology sector hire internationally most often. The thresholds are €59,373 gross a year for the EU Blue Card, or €39,582 for the talent card in its narrower cases.
