The Verdict: Not eligible
The spouse route is only for spouses of German citizens, so it is not open to you. If your spouse lives in Germany, you may still join them under the stricter family reunion rules and naturalise after five years.
Family reunion with a foreign resident runs under Sections 29 and 30 of the Residence Act. Your spouse generally needs a settlement permit, an EU Blue Card or a qualifying residence permit, adequate housing and enough income to support the household without public funds. You will ordinarily need A1 German before the visa.
Once you live in Germany, your own clock runs on the ordinary terms: five years' residence, B1 German, the naturalisation test and self-support.
If your spouse has a German parent or grandparent, they may hold German citizenship without knowing it, which would change everything here. The Germany Citizenship by Descent and Historical Displacement quizzes would tell them.
