Working Holiday Visa in Germany

The Verdict: Not eligible

You are over the age limit for Germany's working holiday programmes. Look at the Opportunity Card instead, which lets you come for up to a year to look for work.

The limit is 30 for every participating country except the Republic of Korea, where it is 34, and it cannot be waived. Canada has a separate agreement; if you are Canadian, confirm its age limit with the German mission in Canada.

Germany's main work routes have no upper age limit. The EU Blue Card and the skilled worker permit need a recognised qualification and a job offer. The Opportunity Card needs a recognised qualification but no offer. The Germany Skilled Migration quiz covers all three.
