The Verdict: Need More Info
Your Immigrant Investor Programme application can still be decided, though the programme closed to new applicants. Find out which category it was triaged into and whether your project is approved, and keep your documents current.
The programme closed on 15 February 2023 with an orderly wind-down. Projects approved before the closure may proceed on their approved plan, and investor applications attached to them are decided against the published criteria. The department expects clearing the queue to take a number of years.
Your timing turns on your project. If it is approved, your own file is being assessed, so keep it complete: stale documents are a common cause of further delay. If it is not approved, your application cannot be decided until it is.
The department can pause processing or withdraw approval where serious concerns arise about a project, so its delivery matters to you. A successful application gives a Stamp 4, which counts towards naturalisation from the date it issues.
