Second Pass

Is there a link to Italian language and culture in your family that you could evidence?

Italy — Historical Displacement

For descendants — as opposed to the people who lived there themselves — the law asks for someone "of Italian language and culture". It prescribes no document, no language level and no test: what is assessed is a body of evidence. Italian schooling, membership of an association of esuli or of the Italian community, Italian spoken at home, family papers in Italian and cultural participation have all counted, including where they belong to a parent rather than to you.
