Italy — Reacquiring Lost Citizenship
The date does most of the work here. Until 15 August 1992 an Italian who took another nationality lost Italian citizenship automatically at that moment, and a minor child living with them generally lost it too. From 16 August 1992 that stopped, and dual citizenship became possible — so a loss after that date was almost always a deliberate renunciation.
