The Verdict: Unlikely
Without a job offer this route is not open yet, because Mexico has no points test you can apply on. Look for employers already registered with the immigration institute, or see the digital nomad route if you have foreign income.
The Migration Law allows the government to set up a points system, but we found no implementing rules and no way to apply. Do not build a plan on it.
Once you have an offer, the bar is low: no salary threshold, occupation list or labour market test. Larger firms and those that already hire internationally usually hold the employer registration.
Two routes need no employer. Residence on economic solvency asks for income or savings, and if a parent or grandparent was born in Mexico you may be Mexican already.
