Second Pass

Golden Visa & Citizenship by Investment in Morocco

The Verdict: Not eligible

Buying property or making a passive investment does not give you residence in Morocco, because there is no golden visa. Look instead at the card for people living on their own income, or at running a business there.

Foreigners can buy most property in Morocco, though agricultural land is restricted. Neither a home nor funds, shares or a deposit carry a right to stay beyond the 90 days most visitors get.

The income your investments produce, and a home you own, both help with the residence card for people living on their own resources. Our Morocco retirement quiz covers that card.

If you would run a business in Morocco, a residence card as its manager is open; choose that answer at the start of this quiz.
