Morocco has no remote work visa, and the law does not settle whether remote work fits the card for people living on their own resources. Ask the police foreigners' service where you will apply how it treats income from abroad.
That card, under Article 13 of Law 02-03, requires an undertaking not to take up work in Morocco that needs Moroccan authorisation, and the law says nothing about work for a foreign employer. Guidance commonly says it is accepted where no income comes from Moroccan sources.
A 'visa tech' for foreign tech talent was announced in 2024, but no legal instrument for it had been published by October 2026.
Staying more than 90 days without a residence card is not allowed, and repeated exits to reset the clock are a grey area. More than 183 days in Morocco in a year can make you tax resident there, so take tax advice before you go.
