Did anyone in the line between that ancestor and you become a citizen of another country?
The date matters, not the fact. Until 19 January 1951 Polish law treated foreign naturalisation as losing Polish citizenship, and passed the loss to a wife and to children under eighteen. From that date it did not. The date is on the naturalisation certificate or court record.
