When was that other nationality acquired?

The current Portuguese nationality law came into force on 3 October 1981. Before that date, voluntarily acquiring another nationality cost you Portuguese nationality. From that date it has not — the only route to loss since then is a deliberate declaration that you do not want to be Portuguese.
