Australia — Exceptional Talent
Unlikely
The bar for this visa is internationally recognised, and that word is doing real work. It is not a synonym for excellent, senior or distinguished. The test is whether your achievement is recognised beyond your own country, and a record that is strong nationally but has not travelled generally does not meet it. On what you have described, this would be a difficult application.
Before setting it aside, it is worth testing your own assessment, because people in this position often underrate an international profile they already have. International recognition is evidenced rather than felt: citations by researchers in other countries, awards or honours with an international field, invitations to speak, judge or examine abroad, work adopted or licensed outside your country, membership of international bodies, media coverage beyond your own market. If several of those apply, your record may already reach the standard even though it does not feel exceptional from inside it.
If it genuinely does not, this is a route that can become available later rather than one permanently closed — and it has no age limit, so there is no deadline on building the record.
In the meantime, the routes that reward strong professional standing without requiring international eminence are the ordinary ones: points-tested skilled migration, where senior experience and qualifications score well, and employer sponsorship, where an Australian employer's willingness to nominate you matters more than your public profile.
