The nomad stay needs USD 3,000 a month (USD 4,000 with family), so it is not open to you now. Look at the retirement routes if you have a pension or investment income.

The income floor in Ley 10008 is fixed, shown over the preceding year, with no discretion.

The rentista category asks for less, USD 2,500 a month, but only income of a rentier kind such as rents, dividends or returns, not wages. A pension of at least USD 1,000 a month qualifies for the pensionado category.
