The Verdict: Unlikely

Any Greek employer or client is a problem for this permit, which sets no tolerated share. Either drop the Greek work before you apply, or look at a work permit in our Skilled Migration quiz.

The permit requires income from outside Greece and forbids work for Greek employers or clients. The condition continues for as long as you hold the permit, so dropping the Greek work has to be real, not presentational.

If the Greek work matters to you, a work permit or self-employment in Greece is the cleaner route. The work route: under the Immigration Code as amended by Law 5275/2026, a Greek employer files an electronic recruitment application with a contract of at least six months, and you get a single residence and work permit for three years, renewable for five. With a degree and a salary of at least 1.5 times the Greek average gross salary, the EU Blue Card runs three years at a time. Our Skilled Migration quiz covers both.

Ask the consulate for where you live how they would treat your mix before filing.
