Did you yourself hold Spanish nationality at some point?

Recovery is only for someone who held Spanish nationality personally. If it was a parent or grandparent who was Spanish and you never were, that is a descent question rather than a recovery one, and the routes are different — so it is worth separating the two now. If you are not certain whether you ever held it, say so: a surprising number of people are registered as Spanish without knowing, and a surprising number believe they lost it when they did not.
